Polish not bringing it back any more?
Chalky, faded, peeling, or patched in three different whites. When cutting and polishing stops working, the finish is telling you it's worn out.
Clear price in writing before we start. Nothing goes ahead without your OK.

Sound familiar?
- A chalky finish that comes off on your hand
- Colour that's faded and won't polish up any more
- Paint peeling or flaking off
- Old repairs that stand out a different shade
What it really means
Chalky gelcoat is gelcoat wearing thin. Every hard polish takes a bit more off. Once it's through, the sun and water get at the fibreglass underneath. Peeling paint lets water in under the rest of it.
The fibreglass gets exposed
Worn-through gelcoat leaves the fibreglass open to UV and water.
Water gets under the paint
Peeling paint traps water underneath and lifts more of it every season.
It costs you at sale time
A tired finish takes real money off what a boat or van is worth.
How we fix it
We fix any cracks, chips and soft spots first. A respray over damage doesn't last.
We sand, fill and fair it so the surface is straight. This is most of the job.
Sprayed in our booth in gelcoat or 2-pack paint. We'll tell you which suits yours and why.
Rubbed back and polished, fittings back on, ready to go.

Why people bring it to us
"I had my 1986 model fibreglass runabout rubbed back, polished and added my new boat name and decals. Couldn't be happier. Boat looks amazing."
"I had my Haines Hunter V16R rebuilt by Sam and the team. The workmanship is absolutely excellent."
Straight answers
How much will it cost?
It depends on the size, the damage under the old finish and gelcoat or paint. Send photos of the whole boat or van for a guide price. A firm price in writing comes after we've seen it.
Gelcoat or paint?
Both work. Gelcoat suits most fibreglass boats. 2-pack paint suits colour changes and some finishes. We'll explain the difference on your boat.
Do you do caravans and jet skis?
Yes. Boats, jet skis, caravans and motorhomes all go through the same booth.
How long will it take?
We'll give you dates when we price it. Most of the time goes into the prep, and that's the part we won't rush.
